Policies at Thrive Sensory

If you purchase either product and / or services offered by this website (Site)  and / or Thrive Sensory, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read these terms and conditions carefully and immediately cease using our site or proceeding with purchases and / or bookings if you do not agree.

Our Shipping Policy

How  We Do It

Please allow 2-3 business days for dispatch and 7 business days for custom products. If your order requires more urgent fulfilment, please contact our team and we will endeavor to assist.  

 

Local pickup is available from Papamoa Sports and Recreational Centre or at our Pop -up Play locations. Please select pick up option at check out and contact us with preferred date and time of collection.  

 

We provide standard shipping with NZ POST, calculated on weight. 

Returns and Refunds

How It Works

We take the utmost care in ensuring our services and / or products are delivered in accordance with their advertised descriptions and information.

 

We have a 20-day return policy, which means you have 20 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at thrivesensorylearning@gmail.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 25 Longstead Avenue Papamoa, 3118

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.


Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Where the services and / or product is found to be defective, you will be entitled to a replacement or exchange, less cost of postage. Please contact us, in writing, including photographs of the defect.

 

By law, we are not required to exchange or refund if you change your mind about the service and / or product. If you have a problem with the service or product being provided, please contact us, in writing, to explain the problem or issue.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

 Booking Terms and Conditions 

Sensory Sessions

Cancellation Policy 

  • THRIVE sensory sessions are non-refundable in the event of participant cancellation, sickness, no-show or change of mind. If the participant provides 24 hours' notice, THRIVE will offer a session credit that can be used at a future session. Alternatively, you can gift your session to a family member or friend. 

  • If for any reason THRIVE needs to cancel a session/ term due to unforeseen circumstances, and if make-up classes cannot be attended / rescheduled, THRIVE will issue a full refund to participants.

  • In the event that THRIVE has to cancel a session for any reason such as instructor illness, change in COVID-19 guidelines or extreme weather conditions for example, THRIVE reserves the right to do so. A make-up class will be scheduled before the end of the term, and you will be notified by email of the details.

Gift A Class 

If you are unable to make it to a session, participants can gift their space to a friend with a similar aged child. THRIVE'S ‘Gift A Class’ policy can only be redeemed for the date and time of the class that you cannot attend. This needs to be pre-arranged by email to organise. Participants are not able to gift their space without giving prior notice. 

Session Credit 

In the event you are unable to attend your booked session at THRIVE for any reason, you are able to use your missed session as a credit for future sessions. Sensory sessions your credit can be used for include Pop-up sessions and Sensory Adventure drop ins. To redeem your session credit contact THRIVE, sessions are subject to availability at the discretion of THRIVE. THRIVE is not responsible for following up on your session credits. Session credits expire after 12 months of the missed session date.

Booking Terms 

By making a confirmed booking with THRIVE for any of our services or products you are agreeing to the following:​

All intellectual property, including but not limited to class structure, layout, presentation, class workbooks/information is owned under Copyright by THRIVE. Following your visit to THRIVE, you may not use any information, photos, or video to create a similar business, nor pass any of this information to a third party who may use it to do the same.

We offer a range of products and services, including but not limited to those booked and purchased by this site.

 

Services

Sensory Adventures Program

Our Sensory Adventures program (program) operates weekly at 1 and 1.15-hour intervals for a period of 8 weeks. Our program is designed to incorporate learning by age-appropriate sensory stimulation and is programmed by appropriately qualified session leaders.

 

The program is designed for children ages 6+ months - 3 years old. However, we are all inclusive and do not impose age restrictions. Similarly, classes are segmented into recommended groups. However, age restrictions are not imposed. These sessions are capped at 15 children. Please consider this when booking.

Sensory Sessions - Pop-up & Terms

 

Messy Play 

We host “messy play” events regularly. Currently in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. Messy play events are child-led play experiences, offered to children from 6mth – 3 years. Age restrictions are not imposed. These sessions are capped at 20 children. Please consider this when booking.

Sensory Events & Workshops

We host Sensory events & workshops events occasionally, including but not limited to slime workshops, holiday themed sessions, school holiday activities + more. Currently in the Bay of Plenty & Waikato. These events are child-led play experiences, offered to children from 6mth+.  

 

Private Events

We provide private sensory sessions, for birthday parties, playgroups, daycare excursions and in house sessions private enterprise, etc. Private events are discussed on an individual basis.

Other Information

Our services deliver a range of play based sensory learning experiences. These experiences comprise of, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Food-based products

  • Artificial food colouring

  • Small pieces and loose parts,

  • Paints

  • Playdough

  • Slimes

  • Natural and artificial elements

We provide a range of sensory-based products, locally handmade by us and sourced by third parties. For more information please read the descriptions or contact us by email. Our sensory store is a growing collection, we try our best to keep our store list updated.
